Care beyond plugin updates.

An update count tells you little about whether a member can still buy, sign in and learn. A practical maintenance plan covers the journeys your business depends on.

Know what must keep working

List checkout, login, account management, restricted content and onboarding email as separate checks. Add the integrations that matter to your business.

Check the backup plan

Agree where backups live, how often they run and who can restore them. A backup existing is different from a restore being tested. Avoid replacing current member data with an old database during a routine fix.

Review updates deliberately

Use staging when available, understand important plugin changes and keep a record of the release. A visual check alone cannot prove membership permissions are correct.

Separate care from development

Define the included time and the kinds of routine fixes it covers. Scope new features and existing faults separately so a maintenance relationship has clear expectations.
